Preparations are well under way for the popular annual fireworks display in Alnwick.
Organised by Alnwick and District Round Table, the event attracts a huge crowd of spectators each year.
The extravaganza also raises money for locally-based good causes.
This year’s showcase takes place on Saturday, November 3, at Alnwick Rugby Club.
Gates open at 6.30pm, before the display starts at 7.30pm.
It is recommended that people arrive early as the gate can get very busy nearer the start of the display.
Entry fee is £5 for adults and £3 for children. Hot food and refreshments will be available.
Nick Lewis, from the Round Table, said: “We always run the event on the basis that it is a spectacular event which is safe for all the community to attend, rather than having private displays at home which are much more likely to be dangerous.
“As it is organised by Alnwick and District Round Table, all proceeds from the evening are redistributed to good causes within the local area.”
○ Felmoor Park, at Eshottheugh, is hosting a bonfire and fireworks display on November 3, from 7pm. There will be live music and refreshments and a bar from 6pm. Entry free. Call 01665 575777. If you have a firework/bonfire event, email email@example.com with details.
