Wildlife win lands quarry trip

Pupils, teachers and parents from Hipsburn First School teamed up with Northumberland Wildlife Trust to visit Howick Quarry at Littlehoughton.

Tthe school’s well-deserved prize for scooping first place in the Win With Wildlife competition, sponsored by Tarmac. The youngsters toured the site, climbed into a selection of heavy earth-moving machinery and watched a video of blastings at the quarry.
