Residents are invited to drop in for coffee, a slice of cake and the new superfast broadband service now available at Wingates Village Institute.

The service has been funded by the Wingates Windfarm Community Benefit Fund and installed by Nunnykirk Parish Council, working alongside the Village Institute, to support locals and businesses who do not as yet have easy access to superfast broadband.

The Institute will be open for internet access at the following times: Today, from 6pm to 8pm; Thursday, November 3, from 6pm to 8pm; Sunday, November 6, from 2pm to 4pm.

The service will also be available on Tuesday, from 1pm to 3pm, when basic computer training will also be available as the Institute hosts a free four-week basic IT course. Run by BRIC (the Blyth Resource and Information Centre), it has been specially designed for users of rural village halls across north Northumberland and is ideal for those with very little experience as well as those with some basic knowledge.
