After the town centre was lit up on Friday night, it was then The Alnwick Garden’s turn to become a riot of light and colour.
Sparkle is the Garden’s permanent lighting installation, which transforms the hornbeam tunnels into a colourful display featuring thousands of lights.
The first phase of the installation, costing in excess of £100,000, was undertaken by UK lighting specialists, Marl. It boasts a 60-colour lighting programme.
Sparkle will run in the evening from Monday until Monday, January 5, with the addition of late opening until 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays
