While not blessed with the glorious sunshine of last year, today’s Glendale Show benefitted from the rain staying away and the crowds were still out in force.
There was the usual wide array of things to see and do for show-goers ranging from a display by the mounted section of Northumbria Police to falconry, a sheep show and an aerial display from a biplane.
The main marquee was packed with entries in the horticultural and industrial sections, while outside there was the judging of the livestock – sheep, cattle, donkeys, goats, horses and ponies.
There were also plenty of activities for children, live music, trade stands selling everything from tractors to chillies and refreshments.
