A Northumberland walks company has launched a new website, designed to encourage people on journeys of discovery into the heart of what is frequently described as the best walking country England has to offer.
Footsteps walks, led by Patrick Norris, a qualified hill-walking guide with more than 20 years of experience as a countryside manager and ranger, gives walkers the opportunity to look a little deeper into what makes the Northumberland countryside what it is today.
This includes the wildlife, the historic and prehistoric landscapes, its cultural history and the current land use of this unique county.
Walkers can choose to walk along the Northumberland coast, in the Cheviot Hills of the Northumberland National Park or along the river valleys, over moors and through forests and farmland in between the two.
