Volunteers are needed at a north Northumberland museum as it mounts a major new exhibition.
The Grace Darling museum in Bamburgh, run by the RNLI, is looking for people to spend half-a-day per week as front of house and education volunteers.
The museum’s current exhibition, Looking After Grace, about the challenges of looking after the RNLI’s collection of Grace Darling memorabilia, is already under way and is drawing hundreds of visitors a day.
Manager Virginia Mayes-Wright said more people are badly needed to join the current team of about 20.
She said: “It’s a phenomenal place to be and our volunteers genuinely enjoy themselves. It would be wonderful to have double the number of people we’ve got at the moment.”
