LOCALS in the Alnwick area are being encouraged to help provide vital support to a good cause.
A new recruitment campaign has been launched to find an individual from the Alnwick area who could help the local MS Society reach out to people in the area.
The Alnwick and District MS Society is on the hunt for someone with good writing and IT skills who is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and meet new people.
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting people affected by MS. The Alnwick team aims to empower people with MS by providing information about the condition, lending a friendly ear and helping people access available services. They are now looking for someone to join them as their website editor, to help let even more people in the area know about the support they can offer.
Glynis Carr, chairman of the branch, said: “We’re developing a strong team and are looking for someone to help us provide invaluable support to even more people with MS, their families and friends.
“It’s a rewarding role so if people have a few hours to spare a week we would love to hear from them, and will welcome them to the branch.”
Successful applicants will be provided with training and support so if you’re looking for ways to develop your skills and give something back to the community, get in touch now.
