A NORTH Northumberland lifeboat station received some unusual visitors bearing a donation last week.

The Seahouses RNLI crew was joined by the Red Rose TR Club, made up of vintage Triumph sports cars, all lovingly restored by their owners who came from the Manchester and Cheshire areas.

The Seahouses all-weather lifeboat Grace Darling was pulled out of the boathouse for a photo call after the enthusiasts had a chance to look over the boat.

And the secretary of the group presented coxswain/mechanic John Hanvey with their donation.

One of their members, Peter Walker, is the brother of Seahouses boatman (and former lifeboatman) Edward Walker, and was delighted to return to Seahouses and childhood memories.
