A FILM which is to be broadcast on BBC World is to be shot in Rothbury.
The Boy and the Bus has been written by Rod Arthur, a veteran actor who has had roles in everything from Prime Suspect to Doctor Who.
It is an independent production and director, Simon Pitts, has thirteen years of experience with the BBC as a producer and director. His last film, Ten Glorious Seconds with David Suchet, was featured at the New Jersey Film Festival this year.
The film will be shot at the end of May in and around Rothbury. It is a 30-minute single drama which is set to screen in July.
