The Duchess of Northumberland today met wounded veterans who are walking 1,000 miles across mainland Britain.
Members of the Walk of Britain team - four British and two US wounded veterans - arrived in Alnwick on day 11 of their marathon.
After staying at Chillingham Castle last night, they travelled from Eglingham to Amble. We meet them as they arrive at Alnwick Castle where they were given a warm reception by members of the public as well as the Duchess who popped a donation into their collection bucket as they arrived.
The walk will pass through 150 villages, towns and cities. The six team members will use 10 litres of sun cream, approximately 5,280,000 steps will be taken by each team member and 2,160 meals will be prepared by the support crew over the course of the walk.
The event finishes at Buckingham Palace on November 1.
