Two men airlifted to hospital

Both Great North Air Ambulance helicopters were involved following a two-car smash on the A68 north of Otterburn on Friday afternoon.

They transported a 66-year-old man with serious head and chest injuries and a 58-year-old man with neck and chest injuries to the RVI.

A third patient was taken by road.
