Police are appealing for information after a number of items were taken from a property in a Northumberland village.

Northumbria Police said: “Between 11pm Thursday, April 30, and 9am Friday, May 1, burglars broke into a garage in Riverbank Road.

“They stole a number of items including a Draper socket set, a hedge trimmer, a petrol strimmer, a ratchet ring spanner and a wrench.

“Inquiries are ongoing into the burglary and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 979 04/05/15.”
