Nominations are open for the annual Countryside Alliance Awards.
The awards recognise the work rural businesses put into serving their communities and promoting rural life.
Now in its ninth year, the regional awards will be launched at Meldon Hall in Morpeth, on September 12, and the winners announced next spring.
The categories are local food, best butcher, best start-up and the Daily Telegraph Village Shop/Post Office Award, sponsored by Blagdon Farm Shop.
Countryside Alliance regional director Simon Hamlyn said: “The awards are going from strength to strength. We are delighted to welcome past winners and businesses that have been involved in the past as regional sponsors, so we can spread the word even further.”
Nominations can be made at www.countryside-alliance.org.uk until November 1.
