Three-year-old boy airlifted to hospital

A poorly three-year-old boy in north Northumberland was airlifted to hospital today.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Tweedmouth at around 10am, where a child was suffering from ‘a medical condition’.

The youngster was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, within 20 minutes.

His condition was described as serious but stable upon arrival.
