The Storm

Crashing and banging,

Rumbles and bumps,

Lightning flashing, wild fire the likes,

Bolts of high voltage,

Forked the sky, bright as daylight,

Seeking to damage while roaming the sky,

May not last long,

But it seems like an age,

To those who can’t handle and are hiding away,

Ok if you’re strong and the storm it excites,

But please spare a thought,

For those creatures who don’t understand what it’s all about,

In its wake it leaves damage of all sorts around,

But like all things that brings fear, and distress,

When they are over that,

Cool calming air,

The quiet returning,

Gone the despair,

Would seem our only reward,

For the storm having passed our way.
