The parents of a boy who had Cloves Syndrome have thanked all the people who supported a day to raise awareness of the rare medical condition.

Aidan Jackowiak Smith, from Alnwick, suffered swelling to his face and body as a result of the complex genetic disorder. He died, aged four, in May.

Monday was Cloves Syndrome Awareness Day and his parents, Karl and Vikki, asked people to wear something green or change their Facebook profile picture to the awareness logo.
