Strolling into the summer

GUIDED walks along north Northumberland’s coastline are taking place this summer.

The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership is once more offering the chance to walk the Northumberland Coast Path this summer with the path originator, Iain Robson.

Each Wednesday between July 27 and August 31, Iain will lead a walk along a section of the path in the company of a coastal expert, maybe a botanist, geologist, ranger or birdwatcher.

The start time for each section coincides with the arrival of a bus and at the end of each walk you can return to our starting point by bus.

The first section on July 27 is from Cresswell to Warkworth, followed by Warkworth to Craster on August 3.

The third walk is from Craster to Seahouses on August 10, and the fourth between Seahouses and Belford on August 17.

The penultimate stage takes place on August 24 from Belford to Fenwick, and the final route is Fenwick to Berwick on August 31.

The walks are all free. Booking is essential on 01665 511206 or coastaonb@northumberland.gov.uk
