Spot proved today that he is no ordinary Jack Russell – he’s a pooch with a passion for riding pillion.
The dare-devil dog took part in his first Easter Egg Run around Northumberland with the Blyth Valley Motorcycle Action Group.
Some may say that Spot is barking mad but owners Jen and Vaughan Rushton, from the Midland, confirmed he enjoyed his canine capers on the 60-mile Easter parade, visiting places such as Widdrington, Amble and Alnwick.
We filmed him at Amble Harbour where there was a paws for thought on the rally and a chance for a bite to eat. Bone appétit, Spot!
Then he headed off with his biker chums, telling plenty of ‘tails’ of the un-eggs-pected, and arrived back home, dog-tired after his incredible journey.
The annual ride collects Easter eggs, which will be donated to children in local hospitals, and money, which is split between the Great North Air Ambulance and MAG. Between 700 and 800 bikers joined this year’s event, which set off from Woodhorn Museum and finished at The Keel Row pub, Seaton Delaval.
