After their recent fashion-show experience, a few of The Stephen Carey Fund committee will be once again applying their make-up this week.

Those behind the scenes at Shilbottle Colliers, the junior football set-up within the village, are holding a Hallowe’en disco on Saturday night to raise funds for the club and they will be supporting the Fund on the evening.

The event runs from 7pm to 10.30pm at Shilbottle Sports & Social Club and the evening will be hosted by Lewis Denny.

There will be a spooktacular array of activities including music, raffles, hot dogs and competition for the best fancy dress. Entry is £1 on the door and all are welcome.

David Wilson, communications manager for the fund, said “Shilbottle was the first location where we installed a defibrillator, it was a place that Stephen spent time in and made good friends within the community.

“It is the home for several members of the Fund’s committee and it is heart-warming that the people of Shilbottle support us in the way that they do”.
