SLIDESHOW: Alnwick Remembrance Day

Hundreds of people turned out to pay their respects to the brave men and women who died for their country at a Remembrance Day event in Alnwick.

Following a service in St Paul’s Church, a parade was led by the Band of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and included representatives of all the Armed Forces and veterans.

Lest we forget.

Lest we forget.

The Duke of Northumberland, his brother Lord James, Honorary Colonel of the 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment, Sir Alan Beith MP and RAF Boulmer Station Commander Paul Atkinson were among those who laid wreaths at the war memorial.

Gazette photographer Jane Coltman recorded the event.
