Site visit to Bamburgh

Members of the north area planning committee meeting agreed to hold a site visit in Bamburgh before determining plans to build two holiday homes and associated access on land at Dukesfield Cottages.

The plans were due to be discussed at last week’s meeting and planning officers had recommended that they were approved.

But it was felt that there would be a better understanding of the site and its area if it was seen by the councillors before any decision is made on the proposals. It will be on the agenda at the next north area planning committee meeting which takes place at Alnwick Council Chamber in September.
