Police are appealing for witnesses after a shop burglary in Northumberland.

It happened between 7pm on Monday, December 22, and 7am on Tuesday, December 23, at Heron Foods in Queen Street, Amble.

Nothing was stolen from inside, but damage was caused to locks to gain access to the shop.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 210 23/12/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
