Services will mark Armistice Day

Services of Remembrance will take place across north Northumberland next Sunday to mark Armistice Day.

In Alnwick a service will be held at St Paul’s RC Church at 2.30pm followed by a parade to the war memorial for the laying of wreaths.

At Amble a service will take place at the war memorial in the Town Square, at 11am (guests are asked to attend for 10.45am) for the laying of wreaths followed by a procession to Sacred Heart RC Church. Maroons will also be let off at 11am and 11.02am to mark two minutes silence on both Sunday and Tuesday.

A service of remembrance will take place at All Saints’ Church, Rothbury, at 2.30pm, followed by a procession to the war memorial for the laying of weaths.
