The monthly report was preceded by Seahouses Probus Club’s AGM which was chaired by our retiring chairman, Bill Godfrey.
The minutes of the last AGM were accepted as a true record of the proceedings and then reports were called for from the secretary and treasurer.
These were accepted by the meeting and the secretary, Fraser Suffield, was thanked for his valuable contribution to the well-being and smooth running of Seahouses Probus Club and an excellent selection of speakers for the year.
After presenting his report, Fraser stated that there is still room for a few more members and suggested anyone interested could telephone him on 01665 576236.
We were told that the Probus quiz which was held at Duns on October 8, had been won by Berwick, that Seahouses came equal third and that a shield it to be made to present to future winners.
The chairman then gave his report and afterwards the officers for 2014/15 were elected, the secretary, treasurer and auditor remaining the same as the previous year.
Bryan Crawford and Ian Wilkinson were chairman and vice-chairman respectively.
Following this, our now ex-chairman inducted our new chairman, and our new chairman then presented our outgoing chairman with a Probus ex-chairman tie and congratulated our ex-chairman on his extremely successful chairmanship.
