Members of Alnwick Sea Swimmers took to the North Sea twice over the Christmas and New Year period.
They braved the chilly water at Boulmer on Boxing Day afternoon when huge waves were dominating the bay.
This meant that not much swimming was done, more playing in the surf.
By contrast, a beautiful sunrise welcomed the swimmers on New Year’s Day at Seaton Point, where the sea was a lot calmer.
Many of the club members are preparing for a Chill Swim, which is taking place on Lake Windermere in the Lake District in February.
