School’s award for long-running support of charity

Seahouses Middle School was last week given an award for its outstanding contribution to the North East Children’s Cancer Run by Sir Alan Craft.

Headteacher Julie Harris said: “As an ambassador for the North East Children’s Cancer Research Fund, Sir Alan came to present us with an award for our outstanding contribution to the North East Children’s Cancer Run.

“As a school, we have taken part in the run for more than 20 years, raising more than £25,000 during this time.

“Thank you to everyone connected with our school who has helped us win this award and made a difference to sick children, not only in the North East of England, but throughout the world.”
