A north Northumberland school has been highly commended in a national awards scheme.
Schoolchildren at Felton helped with the campsite project. They decided how much to charge, what activities would take place and the marking out of the pitches.
The project saw 26 families taking part where a best dressed teddy competition was held, frisbee golf was played, ghost stories told around the campfire and a bat walk took place at dusk.
Headteachers Nichola Brannen and Suzanne Connolly were so impressed with FSFA’s project that they want the campsite project to run again at the school this summer.
