Plans to build nearly 50 homes in a north Northumberland seaside town will go on show at a public consultation event on Tuesday.
Chartered land and estate agents George F White is preparing a planning application for between 40 and 45 houses in Amble.
The scheme, described as providing high-quality properties, is earmarked for Gloster Hill Farm and land south of Mariners View.
It includes the conversion of existing farm buildings and those behind the bid have said that a contribution to the provision of affordable housing would be made.
In a notification document about the consultation event, planning consultant Stephanie Linnell, acting for and on behalf of George F White, states: “The proposed development will include a mixture of conversion and new-build properties, to deliver approximately 40 to 45 high-quality homes in a sustainable landscaped setting complementing the surrounding rural area.”
The company has also stated that the development would provide improvements to the existing road network and protect and enhance the biodiversity of the wildlife in the area.
The public consultation event will take place in the town’s Fourways 2 building, on Dilston Terrace. It will run from 4pm to 7pm.
Stephanie has encouraged as many people as possible to attend the event.
She said: “As part of our commitment to community engagement, we are seeking people’s views on the proposed development.
“Consultation is vitally important in the development process and we encourage anybody who would like to view the draft plans and discuss the scheme with our project team to join us on Tuesday, anytime between 4pm and 7pm.”
