Stargazers will be able to watch the night sky from a special vantage point.
An event is being held at the Barn at Beal on Tuesday, April 22, as part of International Dark Sky Week.
Organised by the Northumberland Coast AONB Partnership and Northumberland Astronomical Society, it is also timed with the possibility of seeing the annual Lyrid meteor shower.
The event will run from 8pm to 11pm and features an indoor guided tour of the solar system, a laser-guided tour of the night sky, a series of short talks and, weather permitting, the chance to look at the stars using a variety of telescopes.
It is free but booking is essential as spaces are limited. Book at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stargazing-evening-at-the-barn-at-beal-tickets-11202120845
It is suitable for most age groups but there are no dogs allowed. Bring warm clothing and a torch.
