The fund-raising sandcastle competition will now take place tomorrow.

A sandcastle competition in aid of Seahouses RNLI has been rearranged due to poor weather.

The fund-raiser was due to take place today at Beadnell, but organisers have moved it to tomorrow.

It will start at 10.30am and the judging of the competition takes place at 2pm.

Anyone can enter, even on the day, with registration from 10.30am onwards, but competitors are free to turn up any time prior to the judging.

There will be prizes awarded in three categories – family, children only and adult only.

The competition costs £2 per person to enter, although it is just 50p for under fives.

The event is being run as part of the lifeboat charity’s national series of May Day weekend events.
