Safety first for Premier firm

A FAST-GROWING Amble-based training company has won a major first aid contract with Northumberland County Council to safeguard its workforce.

Premier Corporate Training (PCT) has secured a three-year deal with the authority to deliver a range of first aid courses county-wide to council staff, including those based in schools and outreach centre depots.

The contract will ensure workers are equipped with skills to cope when facing problems ranging from a potentially life-threatening heart attack to treating a burn or scald.

It means that PCT is the only authorised company to deliver first aid training courses to staff at the authority.

Company founder Bruce Durham said: “This is a further great contract win for PCT which is already proving to be one of the fastest-growing training companies in the UK. We have already carved out a niche for ourselves on a national platform with our safety and motivational programmes and solutions.

“I am pleased that we are now in a position to carry out the courses we currently deliver elsewhere in the UK on our home turf in Northumberland and to such a diverse range of employees and job roles that exist within the council as well.”
