THE sun is due to come out to play for tomorrow’s Royal visit to Alnwick despite today’s downpours.
While rain and cloud is forecast for the rest of Tuesday, the Met Office is predicting a nicer picture for the arrival of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on Wednesday morning.
Cloud is forecast for the first part of the day, when the Queen will be opening Alnwick’s new youth hostel and meeting carers and volunteers in a special party at Alnwick Garden.
While sunshine is due from 1pm in time for Her Majesty’s walkabout in the town centre.
Is is expected to stay fine until after the Royal couple depart at around 2.30pm, with rain set to start at around 4pm.
