Army cadets from Amble Detachment were privileged to be invited to attend Windsor Castle to witness the presentation of New Colours to the 1st Battalion and No 7 Company Coldstream Guards by the Queen.

The cadets were invited because they have the honour of wearing the Guards’ cap badge.

After seeing the presentation of the Colours, the Detachment attended a lunch in Victoria Barracks, home to the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards, where they were presented with a new Detachment sign, resplendent in blue/red/blue colours of the Coldstream Guards.

The presentation was made by Brigadier GK Bibby CBE who is the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel of the Coldstream Guards.
