FOOTBALL memorabilia will be auctioned as part of an Alnwick charity event in memory of an Italian man.

Roberto Ramadoro, owner of the Alnwick Arms pub, lost his brother Dewid, 30, in March, when the motorbike he was riding was hit by a van when he was coming home from a charity event.

In honour of Dewid, Roberto has organised a golf event and auction to raise money for the Blue Cross.

On Saturday a Texas Scramble tournament will be held at Alnwick Golf Club, with three people per team.

The tournament will then be followed by a night of music and an auction at the Alnwick Arms where Italian football memorabilia will be sold off.

Roberto has managed to source a shirt signed by Juventus FC captain Alessandro del Piero and a football signed by Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti.

The auction will be held from 10pm onwards. The golf event costs £15 per person.
