RETIREMENT: Many happy memories
I qualified from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies (Dick Vet) at Edinburgh University in 1976, 41 years ago, and apart from an initial two-and-a-half years in Stone and Eccleshall in Staffordshire, the remaining 38-and-a-half years have been spent working mainly from our Alnwick, Amble and Seahouses surgeries.
Initially, I was involved working in mixed practice with both farm and small animals, but for the last 15 years, as the profession has become more specialised, I have worked almost entirely in small animal practice.

Hide AdThe close working relationship built up over many years with both clients and work colleagues has resulted in a large number of friendships.
Throughout my working life in Northumberland, I have met many warm and welcoming people who have contributed enormously in helping to make my veterinary career a professionally rewarding and enjoyable experience, and one which has left me with many happy memories.
I send my grateful thanks to all of you for your very generous gifts and good wishes.
