Two routes near Wooler look set to be designated as restricted byways in future maps, but will be approved by the planning and rights of way committee on Tuesday.
The first route links the Commonburn House road, to the west of Wooler, with Humbleton and the second goes from the western end of the U1082 road, north-west of Earlehillhead, to the bridleway to the east of Wooler Common.
In both cases, the report recommends that it is agreed that public vehicular access has been to show to exist, but that motorised vehicular rights were extinguished by the Natural Enivironment and Rural Communities Act 2006.
As restricted byways, the routes can be used on foot. on horseback or by non-motorised vehicles such as bicycles.
