KIELDER Reservoir marks its 30th birthday with a series of events at Kielder Water and Forest Park this weekend.

Tomorrow: High Ropes. Hanging cargo net, swinging logs and balancing beams. Ages 5+. At Calvert Trust, Kielder. Drop-in 10am–4pm. £10pp (per circuit). No booking needed.

Tomorrow to Sunday: Bank/Boat Fishing on Kielder Reservoir. Anglers catching fish with an anniversary tag can win a variety of prizes. Day tickets available to buy from Tower Knowe/Leaplish Waterside Park visitor centres. Hire a boat, call 01434 251 000.

Cycling/Mountain Biking. Cycle around Kielder Water shoreline discovering outdoor art, or tackle single-track mountain bike trails.

Saturday: Indoor Climbing Wall. Routes for all abilities. At Calvert Trust, Kielder. Drop-in 10am–4pm. £10pp (two turns). No booking needed.

Saturday and Sunday: Free Art and Craft Workshop. At Tower Knowe Visitor Centre. 11am–3pm. No booking required.

Special Family Bike Offer. At Purple Mountain Bike Hire Centre, Kielder Village. Call 014343 250 532. Book bikes in advance.

Sunday: Giant King Swing. At Calvert Trust, Kielder. Drop-in 10am–4pm. £10pp (two turns). No booking needed.

As part of the celebrations, there will be a new display called What The Reservoir Means To Me, starting Saturday. At Tower Knowe Visitor Centre. 10am–5pm daily.
