Police have released details about three suspected poaching incidents in north Northumberland, just a fortnight after a previous spate.

The recent reports have come from Alnwick, Warkworth and Felton, following recent incidents throughout the county.

On the evening of Wednesday, November 23, offenders drove down a private track and cut the padlock and chain off the gates and entered a field in the Felton area.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 136 241116.

The following day, two vehicles suspected to have been used for poaching activity were spotted in Warkworth. Four males have been reported for poaching offences.

Meanwhile, a suspicious vehicle – a silver/grey Subaru, registration number NL53 NHC – is suspected of being used for poaching around the Alnwick area.

If anyone sees this vehicle being used in a suspicious way, call the police immediately.

A fortnight ago, the Gazette reported that suspected poaching had occurred in Felton and Bywell.

Anyone who reports a possible poaching incident to police is reminded to include key information, such as descriptions of the people and dogs; details about the vehicle; direction of travel and grid reference number.
