Services will take place across north Northumberland on Sunday to mark Armistice Day and remember those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.

Here are some of those that will be taking place, all on Sunday, November 9, unless stated.

Acklington: Remembrance Service at St John the Divine Church, 10.45am, prayers and service at Guyzance Tragedy Memorial at 12.15pm.

Alnham: Remembrance Eucharist at St Michael and All Angels Church, 10.30am.

Alnmouth: Remembrance Service at St John the Baptist Church, 9.30am, followed by service at the war memorial at 11am.

Alnwick: Remembrance Service at St Paul’s RC Church, 2.30pm, followed by procession to war memorial for laying of wreaths.

Alwinton: Remembrance Eucharist at St Michael and All Angels Church, 10.15am.

Amble: Service at the war memorial, in the Town Square, at 11am (guests asked to arrive for 10.45am) for laying of wreaths, followed by procession to Sacred Heart RC Church for Remembrance Service.

Bamburgh: Act of Remembrance at St Aidan’s Church, 11am, followed by laying of wreaths and commemoration at the war memorial at 12.15pm. Tuesday, November 11: A short Act of Remembrance and two minutes silence at the war memorial at 11am.

Beadnell: Holy Communion with Act of Remembrance at St Ebba’s Church, 9am.

Belford: Remembrance Service at war memorial on West Street, 10.45am.

Chevington: Remembrance Service at St John the Divine Church, 10.15am followed by laying of wreaths at 10.55am.

Craster: Remembrance Day service at St Peter the Fisherman, 8.45am. Rededication of the War Memorial plaques from the former Craster Methodist Chapel, within the hall, 10.15am. Inaugural wreath laying ceremony at the new War Memorial, 10.45am, followed by prayers, two-minutes silence, a reading, the laying of the wreaths and a closing prayer.

Ellingham: Act of Remembrance at St Maurice’s Church, 9.30am. Tuesday, November 11: Launch of the book marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War and an Act of remembrance at St Maurice’s at 6pm.

Felton: Remembrance Service at United Reformed Church at 10am, followed by laying of wreaths at war memorial at 10.45am.

Longframlington: Service of Remembrance, 3pm at the Memorial Hall.

Lucker: Remembrance Service at war memorial, 10.45am.

Morpeth: Remembrance Service at County Hall on Tuesday, November 11, 11am. See details, right.

Newton on the Moor: Remembrance Service outside the Jubilee Hall, noon.

Rothbury: Civic Remembrance Service at All Saints’ Church, 2.30pm, followed by procession to war memorial for laying of wreaths.

Seahouses: Act of Remembrance at the war memorial, 2.15pm.

Warkworth: Remembrance Service at St Lawrence’s Church, 9am followed by wreath-laying at the war memorial.

Wooler: Act of Remembrance at St Mary’s Church, 2.30pm, followed by laying of wreaths at war memorial.
