A fund-raiser is taking place on the north Northumberland coast towards the end of next month as part of Seaside Walk Week.
Seaside Walk Week is an opportunity to explore the Great British coast and raise funds to enable struggling families to benefit from a simple break by the sea.
Organised by the Family Holiday Association and running from May 23 to 31, it comprises a series of guided walks from two to 12 miles.
On Friday, May 29, an event takes place from HF Holidays’ Nether Grange in Alnmouth with a short walk starting at 2pm and a longer walk setting off at noon. Both will finish around 3.30pm/4pm.
Each walk costs £15 per adult, £5 for children aged five to 16, and under fives go free. Visit SeasideWalk Week.org.uk to register and for more information.
The Family Holiday Association helps struggling families get a break – anything from a simple day out to a few days at the seaside.
The families they support face some of the toughest challenges life can bring, from severe and sudden illness in the family to abuse or bereavement.
