REPRESENTATIVES behind an ambitious bid to revive a historic rail link will be in Alnwick later this month to promote the project.
Members of the Aln Valley Railway team will have a stall in the town’s market place on Saturday, March 17, where they will be handing out information leaflets about the scheme.
There will also be an audiovisual display about the progress made so far.
The team is keen to form links with any businesses, such as guest houses and building companies, who want to be involved in any way, in return for possible advertising.
Last month, the Aln Valley Railway Trust signed a lease with Northumberland Estates.
It meant that dreams of re-opening the Alnmouth to Alnwick branch line took a big step forward and it is hoped that there will be some limited running of trains on part of the route by the end of the summer.
