A DVD featuring pirates alongside TV and movie characters is giving pupils at a Northumberland school a taste of what it is like to run a business.
The DVD of the school's annual play filmed and edited by the pupils is only one of the products being sold by Dyslexia Productions, the name for the company set up by pupils at Nunnykirk Centre for Dyslexia.
A full-colour programme for the play was also designed and produced by the pupils and sold at the two productions last Christmas.
The pupils set up the company under the Young Enterprise Scheme which encourages young people to run their own business and learn about all the elements of running a successful company.
A board of directors was established and 17-year-old pupil Sam Hill was appointed as managing director to run the company.
The next project is to turn some of the school's art and photography work into a 2009 calendar for sale later this year.
