Bring it On! was the first event of its kind in the North East. It showcased the many exciting businesses and opportunities in North East engineering.

Locally-based companies such as Nexus, Hitachi, Siemens, Caterpillar, Proctor and Gamble had exciting exhibitions and machinery to really show the breadth of science and engineering activities that are vibrant across the North East and to inspire and motivate young people aged 10 to 14 to choose it as their future career.

The Whittingham pupils said they were inspired by the engineers at the event and that it was great to see inventions that can change the world.

They saw how things were made that they’ve never thought about before and it made them want to create new inventions and experiment so they can help people in the future.
