Officers from the Northumbria Police Operation Dragoon road safety team teamed up with military personnel and staff at RAF Boulmer to run a cornering clinic and motorbike road safety engagement day as part of a national motorcycle week of action.

The force also worked with Northumberland County Council and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service to help launch a road safety scheme.

Around 200 signs warning bikers about the dangers of speeding and cornering have been put up on rural roads.

Road safety activity for bikers will continue throughout the summer.
