Police investigating a robbery in Hadston have released CCTV images of two men they need to trace.

It happened at the Co-op store, in the Precinct, at 10pm, on Saturday, October 5, when two masked men went in and threatened staff.

They then stole a quantity of cash.

Both were armed, one with a handgun - it’s not known if this was real or imitation - and the other with a knife. They left the store on foot and ran towards the estate at the rear of the shop.

Police originally arrested two men aged 23 and 28 in connection with the incident, but following further investigation, they have been released with no further police action.

Detectives have now released CCTV images of two men they need to speak to who it’s believed have information which may help the investigation.

DC Mark Redfern said: “Extensive inquiries have been ongoing into this incident and it’s still very much an active investigation. We’ve released CCTV images of two men who we need to speak to who we believe have information important to the inquiry.

“I’d ask anyone who has information about who these men are to get in touch with us, as well as those who witnessed the incident or who has information but have yet to come forward. Information can be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
