POLICE are appealing for witnesses to trace a man who failed to pay hotel bills in Northumberland.
The first incident happened between 7pm on Monday, March 26, and the evening of Tuesday, March 27, at The Schooner Inn, Amble, when he checked in and ran up a tab on drink and accommodation but left without settling the bill.
He then did the same thing at the Hope and Anchor, in Alnmouth, between 7.30pm on March 27, and 7am the next day.
The man is described as white, aged between 50 and 60, of slim build, with grey hair and wearing black rectangular-framed glasses, a black short-sleeved polo shirt with a motif on the left breast, black trousers and shoes and was carrying a small black holdall.
