Police are hunting burglars responsible for a spate of break-ins on an Alnwick estate.
Overnight between Thursday, March 8, and Friday, March 9, intruders broke into two garages at Chapel Lands, taking detergents and cleaning materials from one of the garages and nothing from the other.
Two more garages were targeted in the estate around the same time, but the offenders were unable to get inside them.
Alnwick Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott said: “To see this many incidents in Alnwick in such a small space of time is concerning. We are speaking to residents in the area and carrying out enquiries to trace those responsible.
“These incidents should act as a reminder to all residents about how important it is to make sure your garage is locked and secure. If you are going to keep valuables in your garage then make sure you have security in place and report any suspicious behaviour or people to police.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
