Police appeal after street disturbance in Amble

Police are appealing for witnesses following a street disturbance in Amble.

It happened last Friday between 4.30pm and 5.25pm when there was a verbal altercation on Queen Street between two men. They were joined by other people on Charles Road, near the Radcliffe Club, who it is believed they knew and this led to a fight taking place.

Officers were called and a 43-year-old man was checked over by paramedics, but did not require any further medical treatment. No one else was injured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone who saw the incident in either location is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 905 of 07/10/16.
