REVELLERS enjoyed a relatively crime-free festive period.
Police have reported little crime over the Christmas weekend with Alnwick Sergeant Neville Wharrier saying that Alnwick and Amble were busy but without problems.
Only one assault took place in the early hours of Tuesday, December 27 in which a man was punched on the nose.
The culprit has been cautioned for the offence.
Sgt Wharrier said a small number of public order offences had been committed as well.
New Year revellers are reminded that police will be keeping an eye on festivies during the period.
